ContentsVial: GHK(Glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine)Cu lyophilised powder, 10mg.
Ampoule: 2ml Sterile water for injection.
AdministrationIntramuscular or Subcutaneous injection.
StorageStore at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight pre reconstitution. Refrigerate between 2-8’C post Reconstitution.
DosageInitial: 30 mcg/kg/day. May increase dose gradually. Max: 50 mcg/kg/day. Can be divided into multiple dosages.
ContraindicationsAcute critical illness due to heart or abdominal surgery, multiple accidental trauma or respiratory failure; active neoplasms, proliferative or pre-proliferative diabetic retinopathy; lactation; patients with closed epiphyses. Intracranial lesions. Patients with Prader-Willi syndrome who are severely obese or have a severe respiratory impairment.
Special PrecautionsDM; may require dose reduction in insulin. Pregnancy. Discontinue treatment if there is evidence of tumor growth. Monitoring in patients with scoliosis is recommended due to a risk of progression of scoliosis.
Adverse Drug ReactionsSide effects noted are tiredness, feeling of lethargy, head rush or euphoria, itching. Loss of glycaemic control in diabetics.
Drug InteractionsHigh doses of corticosteroid may inhibit growth-promoting effects of HGH Fragment 177-191
