Description | It is recombinant form of erythropoietin(a peptide made in kidney in response low oxygen in blood) to boost RBCs production by activating bone marrow increases exercise performance and rapid recovery. |
Storage | Store at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight pre reconstitution. Refrigerate between 2-8’C post Reconstitution. |
Dosage | Single dose, Subcutaneous/Intravenous use 4000iu. |
Contraindications | Because of increased blood viscosity when using ESA, physicians should exercise caution in patients with a history of DVT, pulmonary embolism, or hypercoagulability disorder. Likewise, caution is necessary for patients with a history of ischemic stroke or cardiovascular disease. |
Special Precautions | Erythropoietin sometimes causes seizures, especially during the first 90 days of treatment. During this time, it is the best to avoid driving, using heavy machinery, or doing other activities that could cause serious injury if a seizure occurs while you are performing them. |
Drug Interactions | Although certain medicines should not be used together at all, in other cases two medicines may may be used together even if an interaction might occur. In these cases, your doctor may want to change the dose, or other precautions may be necessary. Tell your healthcare professional if you are taking any other prescription or nonprescription(over-the-counter[OTC]) medicine. |
